I haven’t written any post for a while now… why? because… hmm… just because 
I am now in the right mood for going on this adventure and I’ll start by describing a bit what I am doing now..
I work in the IT, for the biggest insurance broker in the world. This gives me the opportunity to have interesting projects, mainly at european level.
Some months ago we started integrating a new java based corporate software (ITN Cleva) in different european countries, to manage clients, contracts, insurance quotations, premiums etc..
The interesting part is that this software publishes some webservices that can be used by… in our case… external websites.
We have developed some websites for different countries (Belgium, Turkey, Romania, Poland,…) that can actually make comparisons among different insurers’ proposal for the product CARS… and mainly for MTPL (Motor Third Party Liability) and Casco.
Sometimes we are directly querying insurers’ webservices to get a quotation and then compare, other times we know the quote algorithm and can quote ourselves.
Quite interesting:-)
We use PHP to develop websites, because we already have some other applications on PHP servers and we have some know-how.
